Vacation time is here!

Last week was vacation time for us. We left the kids with the Grandparent's and off we went! A week of sun, fun, and a little work for Allen was just what we needed to relax and get rid of those bags under our eyes! We went to Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. We stayed at Caesar's Palace the first three days and then moved to the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa for the final three days. We had 80 degree sunny weather for the first three days then it cooled off to about 70 degrees the last few days. We felt kind of guilty knowing that Oregon was cold, wet and getting some snow.

We saw Mystere, a Cirque Du Soleil show at Treasure Island. Wow...I'm amazed at what the human body can do. It was a great show. We also saw several movies at the theater. What a better time to catch up on the latest movies when you don't have the kids with you! We also did tons of walking up and down the Vegas strip looking at all the hotels but were disappointed to learn that the Star Trek exhibit and Quark's Bar were gone at the Hilton. We also admired the Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio Hotel. The Spring Exhibit was displayed, check out the photos below. Almost everything was made with fresh flowers and smelled wonderful!

Allen's Conference was at the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa in Henderson, NV. It was a beautiful Hotel with gorgeous rooms that had verandas with a nice view. The pool and spa was also very relaxing. The pool even had a sandy beach area! The hotel, of course, had a casino and under the casino was a full size movie theater and arcade. Just across the street was "The District," a nice place to go shopping while your husband is speaking at a conference! It reminded me of Bridgeport Village here in Oregon. We had a great vacation we just wish it was longer.
