4th of July Fun

Wow, today is the 4th of July already! This year has just flown by. Today we had a small family BBQ and were hoping for sunny weather but ended up with overcast skies and cool temps. We still had fun though. Jack and Ardi and Jill and Dana were able to join us for lunch. We had yummy chicken drumsticks, potato salad, corn on the cob, jello, fresh veggies and for dessert we had homemade ice cream and Ardi made a beautiful and tasty festive cake. The cake was so pretty I didn't want to eat it! We had a great day enjoying each others company and hearing all about Jill's recent mission trip to Mexico with her church. We also let the boys throw some Pop-It fireworks and watched a few of the neighbors (illegal) firework shows.

FYI, don't reuse the ice (and salt) from the ice cream maker
and put it in the cooler to keep the drinks cold. It was too cold
and split open one of the soda cans.
