No More Monkies Jumping on the Bed

Tonight after dinner the boys were playing in Connor's room when Allen and I heard a thud then a scream. Connor had apparently put his stool on his bed and attempted to jump off of the stool onto the floor. The stool, of course, moved and he lost his balance and landed on his wrist (we think) which put all the force on the little bones of his forearm and snap went the bones. Off to the ER we went. Connor is such a good patient and never cried once. He got an IV for morphine, some x-rays, a shot of anesthesia in his arm all the way to the broken bone, then the doctor reset his arm, put a splint on it and called it good. Connor was amazing and watched it all with no complaints. He also got to watch the entire movie Shark boy and Lava girl, received several super patient stickers and a Popsicle on his way out the door. He is now on vicodin for pain and will see the orthopedic surgeon next week to get a cast put on. I wonder what color he will choose?

  1. Poor Connor! We hope you feel better soon. Alison just said yesterday, "I wish my friend Connor still lived there".
