I spent my extra hour (and then some) of daylight savings today searching for the name of this plant we have. And...I FOUND IT!!! It's a Fatsia Japonica or its common name is a Fig Leafed Palm. All along I had been searching for a split leaf philodendron and boy, I was way off. The Fatsia flowers are arranged in spherical clusters that appear in late fall. By late winter the flowers will turn from bright green to almost black before falling to the ground. Oh...I'm so excited to see that change and of course post pictures too! Here are some updated pictures to show how they have changed.
